If you have arrived in Dubai, you will eventually observe traveling is expensive. Back in your hometown, you may find on-demand services quite reasonable, but in Dubai, they are costly. If you are a tourist with no familiarity or friends/family here, you will spend more than 70% of your budget only on accommodation and travel. So here, I am going to reveal, the
Cheapest Mode of Transit in Dubai:
“Dubai Metro,” either you are a tourist or a frequent traveler. This mode of transportation is most convenient on the pocket. Depending on the stations (station to station), you can travel in 3 to 5 Dirhams in most places.
Dubai Metro issues a traveling card known as the “Nol Card” for its travel.
You can top up the amount in the Nol card through online transfer or the deposit machines.
There are three types of Nol cards
- Limited Validity: Only one day for people who occasionally travels
- 3 Years Validity: Almost 90% of people use this type for daily commute
- Customized Cards: It has names customized on the card
Just ensure your balance never falls below AED 7 in nol card. If you are traveling having a credit less than AED 7 and it gets caught (an inspector often checks individually), you will get a fine of at least AED 100.
